Text doesn't really come out backwards so much as it does random. You may be able to read some words, but most text be random letters or they will just be too blurry. The same goes for numbers on a clock; they will just change rapidly or be incomprehensible. Color in dreams is just something that varies from person to person. Some people see in black and white, some people see in color, and some people experience something completely different. It's just like the perspective of dreams: some see from a 3rd person perspective and others see from a 1st person perspective. Lucid dreaming is when you become aware that you are dreaming within a dream. You can control lucid dreams sometimes, but it depends on how "aware" you are. If you just know that you are dreaming but don't really realize what you can do then you probably won't be able to do very much, but if you have a full understanding on your powers you can do pretty much whatever you want until you wake up.
